3pm - 4pm
3.00pm: The majority of the girls are asleep in their bedroom, while Fed is helping Gos cook dinner in the kitchen, Sissy is shaving Ray's head towards the front of the house and Nush is with Scott in the patio; Nush says that the Malvern Hills is at the foot of her street and the high street is not too far from there. 'I do free e-mailing to friends at the library', she says before mentioning that she does fruit picking at her local cherry orchards on a Sunday; 'you pick as many as you can and you eat till you're sick', she says before stating that she went out every night when she lived in London but prefers country life. She also states that she doesn't know whether she'll stay in Malvern Hills or will move back to London; 'you've got time to consider that now', Scott tells her.
3.02pm: 'He's in my bedroom all the time and he'll be eight on the 17th', Nush says before stating that her nephew (?) will have a bouncy castle for his birthday; at the kitchen, Gos wonders if the dish will taste alright as Cameron says it'll taste 'lovely'. 'Och no!', Fed says before joining Cameron in singing 'Letter From America' and 'King Of The Road' by the Proclaimers; Gos tells Jon that his Elvis singing last night was passable as he states 'I can see you becoming a gardener' with Fed commenting that the Proclaimers have a cult following as Cameron sings another Proclaimers song.
3.04pm: 'I wonder if they wrote that?', Cameron said as Fed sings the song about 'a fish that couldnae swim'; 'how does that Linda song go?', Gos asks as Cameron begins to sing it and Fed mentions Deacon Blue. 'I've got a piano book of Deacon Blue songs', Cameron says and sings 'Fergus Sings The Blues' as Gos wonders whether they're from Glasgow; 'one of them's a jazz singer', Fed comments as the sound gets dipped. 'I remember that song', Gos says as Cameron talks about the Eurythmics; 'are they Scottish?', Gos asks as Cameron says that Annie Lennox is before singing 'There Must Be An Angel'.
3.06pm: Back outside, Nush talks about 'the food sing' which 'sucks but is not forever'; Scott states that they have to 'get on with it' as Nush comments that she now appreciates food more. 'I ate an apple like it was a sacred apple and the same with the banana yesterday', Nush says as Scott states that he really appreciated his porridge and his half an orange from yesterday. 'We're not doing that badly - we've got the substance', Nush says before another sound dip; she states that she'd love to eat a 'lovely nut mix and a Thai Green Curry' to 'do the savoury and the sweet too'. She talks about honey as Scott states that a lot of their conversations revolve around food; 'mine and Steph's certainly do', Nush says.
3.09pm: As Nush runs off a list of topics they shouldn't talk about - beginning with cameramen - inside the house, Cameron wonders if he'll get 'cabbage down his chin' as Gos wonders 'is he criticising the chef here?' and threatens to force feed Cameron cabbage; 'that is my nightmare', Cameron says before attempting to recall more hit Scottish musicmakers. 'Big Country, man', Gos says as Cameron wonders whether Gerry Rafferty was Scottish or Irish.
3.13pm: Fed swivels around on his chair before saying that a guest on Parkinson said he was the 'greatest ever'; 'och no Cameron!', Gos says as Fed talks about Roberto Baggio and George Best. 'Pele wasn't the greatest player ever, that was Diego Maradona', he says before stating that 'Kenny Dalgliesh had no pace' as Gos sings Wet Wet Wet's 'Wishing Well' and the sound gets dipped. Cameron comes outside to the garden with Gos, who thanks him for getting him up early as he states 'I feel so tired as we're getting up so goddamn late'; Cameron sings after stating that they've been given bark to replenish the floor of the chicken coop.
3.16pm: 'There'll be two in there - I can see one', Cameron says about the egg situation while Scott walks to the bedroom and Fed speaks to Jon as Gos and Cameron return inside the house; Cameron stays at the patio doors as Jon stirs the cabbage in the kitchen and a voice is heard saying 'BB has provided you with five metres of string for the tomatoes' very faintly over the feed. 'I usually go down to a number 1 without having to shave', Jon says about his haircut as Scott is called to the diary room; 'my mum hates me having short hair', Jon comments as Gos's conversation with Cameron is dipped.
3.18pm: Fed is with the two; Gos says 'we said our goodbyes and left' as the sound is dipped, while Ray walks to the bedroom as Cameron says 'it's too windy out here' and comes back inside the house. 'Och yes', Sissy says as Gos states that the cabbage smells 'quite good'; 'at least it doesn't smell like our bedroom', Cameron says before stating that it's the carpet that smells, which Gos agrees with. 'It's a manly smell', Fed says as Gos proposes blaming it on Jon and Cameron talks about the Flying Pickets; 'what did they do apart from that song?', Cameron says as he sings their acapella 'Only You'.
3.20pm: In the girls bedroom, Sissy has joined Justine as Tania wakes up and the three make very strange growling noises, while Ray comes to the lounge and tells Fed that his new book is a fiction book as Fed puts his to his chest, Jon yawns and the sound gets dipped; Justine is seemingly getting ready in the girls bedroom with the pictures dipped, while the sound continues to be dipped from the lounge as Cameron takes a sit down.
3.22pm: 'The first chapter is just fantastic man', Gos says about a book we don't hear the name of; 'I just read the first chapter', Gos says as Fed says 'I am British' in an Irish accent and states 'this is not Ireland' before Ray jokingly tells him to 'shut up'. Gos continues to whistle Wet Wet Wet as everyone shouts 'Scott!' for a mistake he makes and Ray comments 'we'll have to look back at the CCTV footage', Ray says as everyone laughs as Fed. 'I have a character in my head - who wants to get who it is?', Cameron says as Jon and Gos say 'no'; 'it's book reading day today', Gos says as Cameron talks to Sissy about the 'Swedish chef from the Muppets'.
3.24pm: Nush sprays her hair with some hairspray in the girls bedroom before stating that 'nothing came out but a giant droplet' as Justine asks her if she wants to use hers; the sound is very indistinct as Nush comments that a hair mousse is 'nice stuff' and tells Justine that she loves her 'fish trousers'. 'They're absolutely gorgeous', Nush says as the sound is dipped, while Nush says that her feet 'look the wrong way up' before wondering whether that statement makes sense. 'It's lunchtime, Steph', Sissy tells her as Steph wonders if it's three o'clock already.
3.26pm: Fed talks about a 'fantasy character'; 'I'm like something that does not exist', Fed states as the housemates in the lounge play their identity guessing game. 'Am I a dog? Scooby Doo?', he asks which is wrong, before asking if he's on TV and his name begins with A; Nush comes to the lounge and states that they would play games more 'if we drank more'. 'Are you a crab?', Gos says as he and Nush do crab movements with their hands; 'is it Spain? Russia? Germany? Austria? Switzerland? Belgium?', Fed says as he continues to try and guess who he is. 'I'm defintely from a European country...?', he says before being told that he's Swedish.
3.29pm: In the girls bedroom, Tania talks about how much her stomach has grown; 'I'm gonna cry', she says as the pictures cut outside. 'Will you help me straighten my hair after?', Justine asks Steph in a Marilyn Monroe-esque accent as Nush returns to the bedroom and Tania leaves it; Nush hums as she looks for an item as Justine asks her if she's seen... something which is too faint to make out from the sound. Nush gets her laundry together before looking for another item of clothing below her bed.
Thanks to Valerie Galvin for letting me know that the entire text of the update was acting as an e-mail link; HTML coding was never my strong point...
3.33pm: As Nush walks around the girls bedroom clearing up before leaving it, the guys continue to play their cartoon character guessing game as Nush says 'it smells like a tart's handbag in here' when she goes into the boys bedroom; Gos wonders whether he's responsible for the bread as Cameron wonders whether he's Charlie Brown. Fed sings the Charlie Brown theme before saying 'the age is very vague'; Cameron establishes that he has black hair and is a nice character. Justine asks for some blackcurrant and Sissy does too as Steph pours it in the kitchen; Ray also asks for some as Gos tells her she may as well fill up the bottle with the juice.
3.35pm: Fed tells Cameron that he thinks his character is Warner Brothers before saying 'that's all folks' in a Bugs Bunny voice; Cameron is told to establish the other characters in the cartoon which makes him wonder whether he's Snow White - he isn't. Cameron asks for some juice as Justine sings 'never gonna get it, never gonna get it' and the sound gets dipped. Steph walks back to the kitchen as Tania returns to the bedroom, while the sound stays cut as Cameron continues to attempt to guess who he is.
3.37pm: Sissy gets the welcome pack from the dining table as Ray nods to Cameron; 'does the cartoon refer to a bunch of people?', Cameron is says as Fed tells him the cartoon is called 'something and something else'. Cameron incorrectly guesses that he's the Smurfs as Sissy asks Gos how many potatoes he's cooking, while Fed tells Cameron to ask more about the lead character as he guesses that he's Snoopy. The diary room is occupied as Fed tells Cameron to ask about the character's job; 'he can have powers at some point in the cartoon', Fed says before saying 'that's a massive clue'.
3.39pm: Cameron looks totally flummoxed before incorrectly guessing that he's Lois Lane; Justine bites her nails as Fed tells Cameron 'the character is your partner and there's another love interest vying for your emotions' which makes Cameron correctly guess Olive Oyl. Everyone on the lounge sings the Popeye theme as Scott looks at his neck in the mirror and Fed states that he'll have a cold shower now; 'is it cold?', he asks as Justine looks bored on the sofa and so does Ray.
3.41pm: The sound is dipped again as Scott says that he doesn't feel like a swim; 'I'll read my book this afternoon and clean the room', he says before stating that it smells 'rank' which he thinks could be due to someone's sweaty bedsheets. 'I wanna have sex?', Cameron says as Gos dishes up some of the cabbage; 'how many more do we need?', he asks and Justine tells him that he's poured seven so far. 'We'll have some for seconds', he says before asking again how many more they need; 'one more after this', he establishes as Scott tells him that Fed is in the shower.
3.43pm: 'I'll put the lid on the soup', Gos says as Scott tells him that the dinner smells 'delectable'; 'c'mon Ray', Gos tells him as he comes to the dining table and Gos wonders where Tania is. 'Tania!', Ray calls to her as everyone compliments Gos on the soup; 'this is magic', Tania says as she arrives at the table and Scott wonders whether he'll have 'white poo' if he's forced to eat toothpaste in the house. 'I can't believe I only had porridge an hour ago', Scott says as the sound is dipped and Tania takes her seat at the dinner table.
3.45pm: 'Jon's in the diary room', Justine says as Cameron mentions he was 'really excited and grinning at us' in his time there; 'very odd', Steph says as Scott states that he went in the diary room to change his microphone. 'I changed the whole thing', Scott says as Ray states that he was told off twice yesterday for putting up his flag; 'I put the chair first on the bed', he says as the sound gets dipped. 'They don't mind it being up', Scott deduces as Ray eats his soup and the sound gets cut once more. Sissy and Scott eat spoonfuls of their soup too as Cameron eats some of the bread.
3.47pm: Gos tells Ray that they've eaten one of the two loaves he's made, while Tania asks Nush to pass her a slice before the latter states 'it's hard to lean'; 'I never eat cabbage at all', Ray says as Scott states that it tastes nice with bacon. 'Bubble and squeak... mmm', Nush says as Scott talks about whether the Welsh eat cabbage and Welsh rarebit; Ray wonders whether thistles can be eaten as Cameron states that thistle soup is probably an urban myth, while Ray states that he thinks they can eat grass. 'Animals eat grass with their teeth, and their teeth grow throughout their life', Cameron says.
3.49pm: Ray states that the appendix has no function but can kill a person if it bursts; 'more more more', Tania says as Gos tells Nush that the soup won't keep until tomorrow. 'We've got Fed still', he comments as Nush wonders if she can have some more; 'I should think so, Tania', Cameron says as Tania wonders if she can have 'a cabbage-y drizzle'. Nush gets some more and tells Gos when to stop pouring; 'Raymondo', Gos says as he pours some more for him, while Cameron says that he doesn't want anymore as he's 'not greedy' but Justine asks for some as Scott comments that they'll have 'three meals in about six hours'.
3.51pm: Ray says that he feels 'stuffed' as Justine tells him that she's alright and not nervous at the moment; 'wait a few hours', she says as the sound gets dipped, while Sissy tells Gos that the soup is the 'nicest I've had in here' and is 'gorgeous'. Justine states that she went to sleep laughing at the memory of Ray's trousers falling down; 'I couldn't believe that happened', Nush says before saying that she laughed at it so much 'I couldn't stand up'. Cameron confirms that Jon has been given some string for his tomatoes as he returns from the diary room, while Ray's comment about whoever gets evicted tonight is dipped.
3.53pm: Cameron thinks he hears thunder as Justine says that she'll 'refuse to go' if it's raining outside, while Sissy wonders who will be in charge of the tomatoes if he goes as Jon states that he's going to tie them up as they're 'so heavy' and keeling over as a result. 'There's loads of trellis', Sissy says as Jon eats some bread; 'all your family will be getting to know everybody', Sissy states as Jon comments that his parents might not be coming down. 'You could miss some people', Sissy says before Scott wonders what kind of hospitality will be laid on for the families.
3.58pm: Jon is still at the dining table, and comments that most of the time he tries to stay in the diary room for as long as possible so that his comments are unlikely to be broadcast as they're so long; 'knowing that was definitely going to be broadcast was strange', Jon says as Sissy and Gos both states that they dislike the long pauses that BB gives them in the diary room. 'I enjoyed my chat in there as I got a few things off my chest', Steph says as Gos states that they should make a BB recipe book with a section on soups.
