The 18-year-old revealed that she identified with many of her Skins plotlines because they represented the reality of being young, reports In Style.
"People think you're rebelling, but you're actually finding out who you are," she said.
"That's why Skins was good; it showed what it was. There were a lot of experiences I could relate to."
However, the actress was quick to insist that she does not share her character Effy Stonem's wild ways and admitted that she prefers to spend time at home.
"I could sit in my house for a week and not go mad! I'd play Super Mario on Wii. I live with my boyfriend, his brother and two friends. I'm the only girl, so I get to be as slobby as I like, without apologising. I love it."
