Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst signs CBS comedy sitcom deal

Fred Durst has reportedly signed a deal with CBS to star in and produce a new comedy sitcom.

According to Deadline, the Limp Bizkit frontman has secured a script commitment with CBS TV Studios.

The half-hour sitcom is being developed under the working title of Douchebag, and will follow a rock legend struggling to balance his celebrity lifestyle and family life.

Durst has experience as a director, having helmed 2007 drama The Education of Charlie Banks, starring Jesse Eisenberg, and 2008 comedy The Longshots, featuring Ice Cube.

The original Limp Bizkit line-up reunited earlier this year to record comeback album Gold Cobra.
