The Showtime drama has been renewed for a shortened run of four one-hour episodes, which will serve as the final season, reports Deadline.
The Big C follows a high school teacher named Cathy (Laura Linney), who was diagnosed with cancer.
It also features Oliver Platt, Gabourey Sidibe, John Benjamin Hickey, Gabriel Basso and Phyllis Somerville.
The series made its debut in 2010. Each season represents a calendar season of Cathy's journey after her diagnosis.
