The 'X Factor' USA judges begin work: In Pictures

After months of speculation, The X Factor USA is well and truly underway.

Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole, Paula Abdul and Antonio 'L.A' Reid arrived in Los Angeles yesterday to take their place on the judging panel for the first day of filming for the new show.

Each judge took their turn to speak to the media and pose for the cameras, with Cowell even responding to calls for him to kiss his former American Idol colleague Abdul.

Photographers were also keen to picture Cowell with his ex-girlfriend Terri Seymour, who interviewed the music mogul and his fellow judges for Extra.

Open auditions for The X Factor, which premieres on Fox this fall, continue at the Dallas Convention Centre in Dallas on May 26.
