A new trailer promoting The X Factor USA's upcoming second season has debuted.
The Fox show will return to screens next month, and the 60-second TV spot features candid footage of auditionees, focusing on one aspiring contestant as he prepares for the "performance of a lifetime".
Simon Cowell is also seen telling audience members at this summer's taped auditions: "We're here for one reason. We're here to find a star."
Britney Spears and Demi Lovato have joined Cowell and industry executive LA Reid on the judging panel for The X Factor's second season.
Glee star Kevin McHale and reality TV personality Khloe Kardashian are believed to be among those in the running to host the programme.
McHale recently hosted the Teen Choice Awards on Fox alongside Lovato.
The X Factor USA returns with a two-night premiere on Wednesday, September 12 and Thursday, September 13 on Fox.
