'Secret Circle' Shelley Hennig: 'I want Diana to be Balcoin child'

The Secret Circle's Shelley Hennig has admitted that she would love Diana to be the other Balcoin child.

Hennig suggested that the twist would explain why Diana and Cassie (Britt Robertson) have such a bond.

"I think it'd be awesome [if it turned out to be Diana]," she told TV Guide.

"And I think it would explain the connection that Diana has with Cassie, and why she goes to Cassie when she breaks up with Adam. Like, who does that? Who goes to the girl that now has your boyfriend? I think it will be interesting whatever way that they choose."



However, Hennig claimed that the cast members have no idea as to the identity of the Balcoin child.

"[We're] still in the dark," she said. "Not a clue. Audiences sit there waiting to watch each episode air. We're like that with the script. We're like, 'OK, are we going to get answers now?'

"We're all totally into this, and we talk about it all the time. Everybody has their own ideas, and it's just fun to come up with the way we think it's going to unfold."

Joe Lando recently signed up to play Cassie's father John Blackwell in The Secret Circle, while Tim Phillipps has joined the cast as new character Grant.

The show airs on Thursdays at 9/8c on The CW.
