ABC's fantasy drama will introduce characters from the Aladdin legend - including the thief himself and his nemesis Jafar - in season two.
Afghan American actress Ghanizada told TVLine that she is eager to be cast as Aladdin's love interest Princess Jasmine.
"It depends on whether or not they ever cast her," she admitted. "But if they do, I mean, who else could be Princess Jasmine?"
The 32-year-old also nominated actor Sendhil Ramamurthy (Heroes, Covert Affairs) to play Aladdin.
"It's perfect," she said. "Sendhil and I should be Jasmine and Aladdin."
Teen Wolf actor Sinqua Walls was recently cast on Once Upon a Time as legendary knight Sir Lancelot.
The second season will premiere on ABC in the US on September 30, while the first season is currently airing on Channel 5 in the UK.
