The actor told IGN that fans should "stay tuned" to see if other superheroes make an appearance on the new CW series.
"I know that the people that are working on the show, they love comics," he explained. "I know that Geoff Johns from DC Comics... was up there [on set].
"I think that he's going to write an episode eventually. It would be unfortunate if, being a comic book show, we didn't draw from all the characters in the DC Universe."
Katie Cassidy has been cast in Arrow as Laurel Lance, who is also the superhero Black Canary in the original comics.
"I don't know [if that will happen on our show]," said Amell. "[But Katie] deserves to be a superhero at some point."
Whatever happens, Laurel - the ex-girlfriend of Oliver Queen (Amell) - will remain an "interesting character" on the series, the actor insisted.
"[Our relationship is] not good right now," he explained. "I didn't treat her very well five years prior, so she has some beef with me, rightly so."
Arrow will debut on The CW this fall, paired with Supernatural on Wednesday nights.
