'Dexter' season seven twists revealed in new trailer - video

A new trailer for Dexter season seven has been unveiled.

The 2-minute promo clip reveals a number of plot points from the upcoming run, which premieres on Showtime on September 30.

In the drama's sixth season finale, Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) discovered her adopted brother Dexter (Michael C Hall) committing a murder.

The new footage reveals that the pair will cover up the killing - incinerating the body of Travis (Colin Hanks) - with Deb later struggling to conceal her guilt.

LaGuerta (Lauren Vélez) is also seen discovering one of Dexter's signature blood slides, which may expose him as the Bay Harbour Butcher.

Dexter airs on Showtime in the US and on FX in the UK.
