America's Got Talent was easily the evening's most-watched and best-rated broadcast with 10.2m (2.9) between 8.30pm and 11pm, prior to which Olympic Trials had 7.8m (1.8).
Over on Fox, Hell's Kitchen remained solid with 5.8m (2.4) in its 8pm slot, then MasterChef rallied to 5.4m (2.3) an hour later.
