Minaj, Enrique Iglesias and Keith Urban were reported to be in final talks to join American Idol last week, in spite of reports that Mariah Carey allegedly doesn't want to work with Minaj.
The 'Starships' singer recently commented on the rumoured negotiations to E! News by saying that she isn't sure if she will be joining Carey on the judging panel.
"You know something, I don't know yet," Minaj explained, adding: "I really don't know. I have no comment on it."
Minaj was also questioned on whether the final decision will be made by herself or American Idol producers.
"Everything in my life, every opportunity is always my decision," she answered.
Her fellow rumoured candidate Keith Urban said over the weekend that he "would love to" judge American Idol's next season.
Randy Jackson - who has appeared on American Idol since 2002 - also spoke publicly about his future on the series today (September 10).
Jackson was recently reported to be moving from the American Idol judging panel to a mentoring role, but he advised fans earlier today to not "believe everything [they] hear".
American Idol returns to Fox in 2013.
