There were classic comedies such as Cheers, The Young Ones and Blackadder, thrilling romps like Knight Rider and Miami Vice and camptastic soaps like Knots Landing, Dynasty and Dallas.
The latter has been rebooted by TNT in the US and launches tomorrow night with old cast members (Larry Hagman) meeting new (Jesse Metcalfe) in the Southfork oil baron drama.
To celebrate the show's return, Tube Talk has put together a nostalgic look back at our favourite '80s TV shows from both the US and the UK.
